Two Creative Writing students were among the winners at the Brighton and Hove Arts Council Poetry Competition and Festival with prizes presented by poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
Patricia Osborne won the student competition with her work Grandad’s Garden. Runners up included Veneta Neale with the poem Choices and Sophie Baldock with Your Room.
Students Bobby Capper and Emma Robdale both performed in the Hammer and Tongue poetry slam.
The student competition was open to all students currently attending University or studying full time in Sussex.
