Student wins Breakthrough Award

History of Art and Design final year student Wendy Fraser has won the £500 Khadija Saye Visual Culture Breakthrough Award 2016/17 .

Wendy, a mature student, won as recognition for her work in the second year of her BA(Hons) History of Art and Design course.

The award is sponsored by BA(Hons) Visual Culture alumna Andrew Davison and was renamed this year in honour of Khadija Saye, the aspiring young artist who died in the Grenfell Tower fire. Khadija was involved in the Early Risers mentoring programme which Andrew gives his time to as a mentor.
