These events are a great way to dive deeper into your chosen subject and gain insights into the application process and university life.
The sessions are aimed at students in year 12, the first year of sixth form or college, but everyone is welcome to attend, including those who have already applied.
Events are held online on Microsoft Teams – you may need to download the Teams app if you are joining on your phone from Google Play or from the App Store.
Exploring Psychology and mental health: nature, nurture, or both?

Why do we act the way we do? To what degree is our behaviour determined by nature (our genetics or biology) rather than our nurture (our environment, social circles, etc.)? Join us to explore the influence that both can have on our lives, focusing on mental health conditions to help explain just what makes us who we are.
Exploring free speech, toleration, and the neutral state within Politics and Philosophy
Monday 27 April 2026, 5-6pm
In this session, we’ll be exploring the complex topic of freedom of speech, toleration, and the role of the state in regulating these concepts. You’ll get a taste of what it’s like to study Politics and Philosophy at university and explore the fascinating ideas that shape the world around us.
