New Creative Writing single honours course

Students at the University of Brighton will be able to study Creative Writing as a single honours course from 2019.

The course places an emphasis on learning outside of the classroom as well as in it and links with local publishers will give students the opportunity to  further develop  their understanding and love of the craft.

Students can also take part in regular open mic nights and an annual student-led conference. There is also plenty of opportunities to meet writers through the  ‘Scrivener Series’  and every year a Man Booker Prize winner or nominee visits to talk about their work. Plus there are weekly competitions,  Interactive Fiction workshops and even a ‘life writing’ class taking the concept of life drawing classes with a model and adapting it for writers!
