Fashion and Dress History grad Elina is announced as a runner-up in the Association for Art History’s Dissertation Prize 2017.
Elina’s 2017 dissertation was titled ‘West Coast Ophelia: Stevie Nicks and Representations of Pre-Raphaelite Femininity in Fashion and Rock Music of the 1960-70s’. It explores how myth – in the visual form of Pre-Raphaelite imagery – has been used to establish, express, and interpret gender identity through the clothed female body.
