The Employability Hub is your one-stop shop for all things related to your placement and your employability. It is up to you to search for and secure your placement, but the team are on hand to support your search for placement opportunities, help with applications, conduct mock interviews and also run employability events throughout the year such as placement fairs and networking sessions. They will also provide support whilst you are out on placement.

Virginia Goodwill – Industrial Placements Officer
Virginia heads up the Employability Hub. She has a wealth of experience in helping students find great placements and has helped the Business School become a preferred supplier for many companies. She advises students on the following courses:

Leigh Rush – Assistant Industrial Placements Officer
Leigh researches placement opportunities and uses his background in careers advice to help students with their placement search. He liaises directly with companies such as Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Computacenter to organise mock assessment centres and fast track interviews on campus. He advises students on the following courses:
Business Management with HRM/Business Management with Marketing/Marketing Management
Mylène Powell – Industrial Placements Assistant
Mylène sets up students’ placement records and ensures all the relevant paperwork such as contracts and health & safety documentation is in place. She helps to run the annual placement conferences and provides academic staff with the details about the placement students they supervise each year.
