make the best of a duff internet connection in a Teams meeting

Video meetings in Teams uses lots of bandwidth.

You can reduce lag and dropout by reducing what you send and receive.

In a Teams meeting select the camera icon to turn off your webcam.

Select the “

then  select  “Turn off incoming video” – this will allow you to see a shared screen but won’t have to handle the video from everyone in the call.

It can also help to close other browser windows, and applications, especially ones that download files in the background.

If you have other folks in the house it can also help to ask politely if they could watch Netflix after your call.
