You can look at upto 49 attendees (7×7 grid) in a teams meeting or use the 1970’s blankety blank style ‘together mode’
You need to have enabled “New Meeting experience”.
Click your icon top right, settings, and general, and check the box
restart teams.
In a meeting select the three little dots (New experience puts everything at the top) and pick your view.
