I have been researching in 1950’s derogatory advertisment’s towards women. A lot of advert’s of the time that were selling food, cleaning, kitchen or other domestic products,included a stereotypical image of a ‘house wife’, creating the concept that women should always be at home taking care of the house and children whilst the men are absent. I experimented with the posters to contrast my idea of the woman being a ‘cow’ to the pleasantly portrayed women in the advertisments.
