Successful nursing careers day

We held our second nursing careers day recently, and once again it was huge success. Both students and employers provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, with many saying it was a very encouraging, inspiring and enjoyable day.

Abi Masterson from the university’s board of Governors gave a presentation on ‘An unconventional career?’ about being one of the first degree nurses and how influential nurse and other health care professionals had been to work with throughout her career as a student, clinician, academic, researcher and now independent consultant.  She commented on how the buzz in the room where the students were talking to employers was tremendous and underlines the value of such events and the commitment of the nursing team to ensure a positive student experience.
