City Events 2014

School of Sport and Service Management principal lecturer, Dr Thomas F Carter, gave a keynote last week at City Events: where cities meet sport in Paris.

The annual conference is attended by leading stakeholders in the global sports industry: international sports federations, INGOs, and businesses.

The title of Dr Carter’s talk was Everybody Wins and addressed the under acknowledged yet absolutely vital migrant labour that underpins most international sporting events.

Dr Carter will be in Berlin next week to participate in an Evidence Roundtable on child labour and sport mega events hosted by Terre des Hommes.
