Discover what it’s like to study at the University of Brighton with one of our taster sessions.
These events are a great way to dive deeper into your chosen subject and gain insights into the application process and university life.
The sessions are aimed at students in year 12, the first year of sixth form or college, but everyone is welcome to attend, including those who have already applied.
Events are held online on Microsoft Teams – you may need to download the Teams app if you are joining on your phone from Google Play or from the App Store.
What’s it like to study Podiatry and Physiotherapy, and what practical skills will you learn?
Thursday 19 March 2026, 5-6pm
In this hands-on session, you’ll explore two fascinating professions – Podiatry and Physiotherapy. Discover how to carry out practical assessments within Podiatry by trying out real activities like checking a patient’s blood flow, skin health and mobility. Learn how Physiotherapists help with balance and prevent falls and take part in some fun activities to see what it’s really like. Chat with our current students for insight on studying these subjects at Brighton.
A day in the life of a Midwife

What’s it really like to be a Midwife? Find out in this behind-the-scenes session, held on International Midwives’ Day, where you’ll hear real stories from one of our midwifery lecturers and our students. Explore what a career as a midwife looks like on a day-to-day basis and discover how midwives support people through one of life’s biggest moments.
