Podiatry lecturer chats healthy shoes on Radio 4
Podiatrist and Principal Lecturer Dao Tunprasert met Radio 4’s James Gallagher to chat shoes.
James travelled to the biomechanics lab on our Falmer campus armed with a bag of shoes to learn about his walk and pick up some top shoe tips.
James was put through his paces (literally) using gait analysis equipment, alongside Dao’s extensive knowledge.
Dao expertly demonstrated how footwear choices can significantly affect our health, providing listeners with practical advice and a deeper understanding of the biomechanics involved. James even took a turn in a pair of high heels to see how they impacted his body – and his balance!
