These include a community flat to enable a realistic training scenarios, fitted with cameras and microphones for monitoring, direction and playback. - Participate in Schwartz Rounds – Founded in the USA, Schwartz Rounds are being adopted in clinical settings across the UK and offer a unique opportunity to attend facilitated sessions listen to stories and share reflections in a supportive and confidential environment. At Brighton our rounds and are designed to support you through the emotional, ethical and social aspects of the clinical world and act as a resource to combat the stresses of student life, whilst preparing you for your career.
- International and national placement opportunities – Real world experience is especially valuable as a graduate midwifery student, that’s why we offer placements in varied health settings. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain a global perspective on a fully supported overseas placement with one of our assured partners.
- Become eligible to register as a midwife – Our midwifery degree enables you to develop core midwifery competencies and equips you to confidently apply theory to practice. It leads to eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a midwife.
