Our new and improved sport and exercise facilities

If you’re looking to study sport and exercise, the University of Brighton has outstanding facilities.

Our Falmer campus has recently been redesigned, renovated and upgraded with many additional specialist course-related facilities. Plus lots of new ones to use in your leisure time too!

The Meads Building

The Meads Building is home to our sport science labs.

We have an environmental lab and labs for biochemistry, biomechanical, blood analysis, kinanthropometry, neuromuscular, psychology and physiology. Plus, there’s a VR screen room which houses the Igloo 210.

Brighton Sport and Health Complex

The sport and health complex is used for both academic activities and well as for sport and leisure. 

The complex houses our strength and conditioning suite, exercise rehabilitation gym, swimming pool and dance studio. Plus there’s a large fitness suite, spin studio, cafĂ© and hangar used for sport and physical education activities.

Outdoor sport and exercise

Our Falmer campus also has five outdoor grass football pitches, floodlit synthetic turf full-size pitch, floodlit non-slip netball and tennis courts and an outdoor grass rugby pitch.
