Reflections from three of our Forward Bound scholars

Since 2015, the University of Brighton, with the kind support of Fiona Deane, has offered the Forward Bound Scholarship to Health Promotion MSc applicants from low or lower-middle income countries.

This award is intended to support health and other professionals who are employed or who volunteer in roles where they will be able to influence and shape health promotion practice and policy on their return.

Due to this generous donation, we have been able to offer tuition fees, accommodation, travel and a living subsistence each year to successful candidates. There have been six scholars so far.  For 2022-23, we are hoping to offer two scholarships. Read more about the Forward Bound Scholarship on the University of Brighton website.

We spoke to Caroline Mukebezi, our sixth and most recent scholar (2020-21) just before she left Brighton to hear all about how the experience has been for her:

We also asked Anastasiia Bondarenko, our second scholar (2016-17) and Faith Atyang, our fifth scholar (2019-20), for their reflections on their time at Brighton:

You can read articles from our other scholars on our Alumni association website.
