Funding update

As announced in December 2019 new and continuing nursing, midwifery students and many allied health students on pre-registration courses at English universities will receive a £5,000 maintenance grant each year.

Extra payments worth up to £3,000 per academic year will also be available for eligible students.

There is additional good news for selected health courses that we offer:

• for the first time paramedic students will benefit from additional NHS funding
• podiatry students will benefit from an additional £1,000 – we offer both undergraduate and postgraduate pre-registration podiatry courses
• mental health nursing students will also qualify for the additional £1,000 as it is a shortage specialism.
