Happy 70th birthday to our much-loved NHS!

Nursing,

Student nurses in our clinical skills and simulation suite.

Happy 70th birthday to our much-loved NHS!  The NHS values are the heart of all our health courses.  We recognise that patients come first in everything the NHS does, and respect, dignity, compassion and working together for patients are embedded in our curriculum.  We are extremely proud to work closely with our local and regional NHS Trusts as we train the nurses, midwives, paramedics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and public health professionals of the future.

We are also very excited to announce that our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Debra Humphris, was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and named as one of the 70 most influential nurses of the past 70 years during this NHS anniversary week.  Congratulations!
