Best ever WSET results

School of Sport and Service Management hospitality students who took the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level One awards got the best results our students have achieved for many years.

The award was led by Helen Evans from Enjoy Discovering Wine and took place on the Eastbourne campus. Students across all levels of the Hospitality courses took part and studied and sampled a range of wines all day!

Content included the production and service of wines and how to pair wines with different food items on a menu. All our hospitality students are offered the opportunity to study for the award and it is a great addition to their CVs.

Sarah commented: “It was such a worthwhile day, Helen made everything so easy to learn and she is very inspiring.”

Stef,pictured with her certificate said that she “can’t wait to study for the next level of the WSET course” which we are hoping to arrange early in the next academic year.

Everyone on the course achieved over 90%, course leader Gillian Parfitt said: “This is such a wonderful achievement for all the students and I am very proud of their results. Thank you to all the team at Enjoy Discovering Wine for their help and support in putting this great event on for our students.”
