Graduate receives MIA Conference and Event Management Award 2017

International Event Management MSc graduate Katharina Bürger received the MIA Conference and Event Management Award 2017.

Katharina was presented with her award on 8 January 2018, during a GDPR-legislation event in London. MIA (Meetings Industry Association) is the UK’s principal association aiming to support the growth of the meeting and events sector in the country.

The award acknowledges excellence at universities and is a recognition of Katharina’s outstanding academic achievements during her postgraduate studies at the University of Brighton.

Katharina will graduate with an overall distinction from the International Event Management MSc during the university’s winter ceremonies taking place in February.

She is currently working as junior events manager at Lancing College, successfully planning and running events across the wider foundation, marketing and admissions department of the college.
