General practice nursing star awards

Five of our recent Introduction to General Practice Nursing students were awarded the ‘Living our Values’ award at the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) star awards night in late June. The students are HELEN GRIGOR (Judges Close Surgery), HOLLY VIVIAN (Moatfield Road Surgery), SARAH MCGARRY (Langley Corner Surgery), CHLOE CHAMBERS (Cuckfield Surgery), LISA DAVIS (Southwater Surgery).

They were nominated by ALISON HAWES and RACHAEL WATERS, Primary Care Workforce Tutors who highlighted…

‘We have nominated these 5 individuals in light of their hard work and dedication. They are all new to primary care, with a range of nursing experience from newly qualified to over 15 years of experience in the acute sector. They have worked exceptionally hard in balancing the pressures of transitioning into a new role whilst undertaking the academic requirements of the ‘Introduction to General Practice Nursing’ modular programme at Brighton or Surrey University. We have received exceptional feedback from their mentors and course tutor and feel this award would acknowledge and validate the amount of additional effort they have put in and the impact they have had in delivering patient care.’

Many congratulations to all concerned.
