College of Occupational Therapists (COT) Conference

Four of the Occupational Therapy team are attending the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) conference at the end of June.

Dr Josh Cameron, Principal Lecturer, is doing a seminar session is entitled: Building resilience for mental health recovery: a Recovery College collaboration. The co-authors are Sussex Partnership Trust OTs Mair Reardon and Anna Kemp; Peer Trainers: Paul Neale and Saff Brooker; and MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) 2015 graduate: Katie Pople.

Dr David Haines, Senior Lecturer, is presenting a poster: “Empowering support workers to enable people with profound learning disabilities to engage in occupation at home”.

Dr Tara Sims, Senior Lecturer, is presenting a paper – “developing a user-informed mentoring programme for adults on the autism spectrum” and a poster – “participatory design with children: implications for their learning and development”.
