Successful EC tender on HIV and community health workers with the Centre for Health Research (CHR)

Led by Dr Nigel SHERRIFF with Professor Jörg HUBER, Alex POL-LARD, Dr Carrie LLEWELYN and research support from Glynis FLOOD, the team will be working on a new 3 year research project (2016-2109) to con-duct, analyse, and develop training from, two pan-European surveys. The first behavioural survey focuses on HIV/AIDS and associated infections and the second on community based health workers (CHW) to facilitate access and improve the quality of prevention, diagnosis of HIV/AIDS, STI and viral hepatitis and health care services for men who have sex with men (MSM). The remit of the Brighton team is to lead Work Package 6 which will develop the CHW survey to assess the knowledge, attitudes and practices of community-based health workers (CHW) providing sexual health services to gay men, bisexual men and other MSM.
