Staff successes – March 2016

Helen Fidler told me today her PhD amendments have been approved. Many congratulations Helen!

Claire Hebron has been appointed as the social media editor for the Manual Therapy Journal – we will soon all be looking at you Clare for guidance on social media. Colette Ridehalgh has been invited to join the International advisory board for the Manual Therapy journal. Two staff associated with this journal in one week – the team must be doing something right in this field!

Lee Price was successful in his accreditation for the D3 Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Lee is very modest and I had to find out about this news items through ‘special sources’. Apparently, his case studies were excellent.

Sarah Lewis-Tulett was appointed to be the permanent course leader for the 3 year midwifery course. She has undertaken the role as interim lead since Sept 15. Theo Fotis has agreed to take on the role of Course Leader  Health MSc and variants (‘and Education’ and ‘and Management’) from Linnette King from April 2016. And Colin Paterson will be  taking on Course Leadership  Sports Injury Management MSc from Lucy Redhead from September 2016.

Chris Cocking and Nigel Sherriff entered into the university research office poster competition and won 2nd prize at the celebration of research event. A very good example of communicating research findings to those not in the same field.
