Social Media Masterclass
Emma Pearce, owner of Pearce Marketing Consultants, visited the school to hold a social media masterclass for final year retail students.
Emma set up her business in 2008 and offers marketing consultancy, outsourced marketing services and social media training to SMEs. Her clients range across B2B and B2C sectors with sales targeted across local, regional, national and international areas.
The two-hour interactive session was part of the E-tailing and Retail Technology module and showed how digital marketing impacts all parts of the consumer buying process from capturing interest to customer retention.
Emma also gave examples of how she is helping businesses to integrate digital and traditional marketing to support their e-tailing efforts. Successes included Facebook advertising and using money-off incentives for customers who share pages via their social media accounts.
