Sport for Development and Peace Symposium
School of Sport and Service Management students from Sport Studies BSc, Sport Business Management BSc and Sport and International Development MA took part in the Sport for Development and Peace Symposium which took place this month.
The symposium featured various voices from the field and included insights from practitioners, funders and those working in various other contexts, and also provided opportunities for professional development and networking.
The day featured lectures, panel discussions and a group Q&A session. Speakers at the event included: Lucy Mills, Business Development, Grassroot Soccer UK; Alison Carney, Evaluation and Learning Consultant with inFocus and Gender, Sport and Development Consultant; Clare Barrell, International Development Adviser, UK Sport; Tamara Juričić, Content and Communications Assistant, Homeless World Cup; Jacob Naish, Head of Development, Fulham Football Club Foundation and Charlie Gamble, CEO, TackleAfrica.
