BHS visit retail students
Retail marketing and management students were recently visited by British Home Stores to discuss their graduate scheme.
Lauren Spellman, resourcing officer, from the BHS head office in London spoke to the students about the opportunities they offer in both retail management and merchandising roles.
The graduate scheme offers roles that, after training, lead to positions as commercial managers, and assistant visual merchandisers.
The event was aimed at final year students however many year one and two students also attended to find out more about the roles and BHSs requirements.
All found the presentation interesting and many questions about the scheme were asked.
BHS visit the university annually to speak to students about their graduate scheme; other retail firms that visit include B&Q, Disney, Tesco, Abercrombie and Fitch, M&S and The Body Shop.
