Students on Erasmus Study Visits

Undergraduate sport students from the School of Sport and Service Management are eligible to apply to study for one semester abroad under the Erasmus scheme.

Current partnerships exist with eight partner universities in Belgium, Germany, Poland and Spain.

Studying abroad can improve your employment prospects, build up your CV and boost your self-confidence as well as providing the opportunity to make new friends and contacts in other countries.

Dan Angella, Physical Education BA(Hons) student said of his Erasmus experience in Cologne: “The Erasmus exchange in Germany gave me the opportunity to study at one of the best sports universities in Europe. The students and teachers at the German Sport University (GSU) made it a truly unforgettable experience.

“Studying abroad gave me the chance to meet people from all over the world. Anybody that has the chance to study at the GSU should snap it up!”

Laura Graceffa studied at KH Leuven University in Belgium and commented: “Great opportunity to learn about other cultures and languages in a place completely different to your own. I made so many friends and was able to try so many more new things, which I wouldn’t have time for here in England.

“There is always somewhere to go out and with over 200 different fruit beers to try, it would be rude not to embrace this!”
