Sport Coaching and Development Top-up Degree Success

Once again the graduates on the Sport Coaching and Development Top-up BA(Hons) degree are celebrating; 68% gained degrees at 2:1 or above and 20% gained firsts in 2014.

Whilst studying the students completed coaching placements in a wide variety of settings including schools, care homes, health and fitness clubs, and community sports clubs.

Laura Kaminski, a 2014 graduate who also coached the university women’s football squad whilst studying, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of studying for my top-up degree at the University of Brighton.

“I had to adapt quickly to the academic demands but was given great support from the tutors. I recommend the course to others’.

Some of the graduates have gone on to study for a PGCE, whilst others have taken up roles in coaching and sport development.
