EIS Head of Physiology gives student talk

Dr Emma Ross, Head of Physiology at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) recently visited the school to give a talk to Sport and Exercise Science BSc(Hons) students.

Dr Ross talked about the work of the EIS, the laboratory skills to focus on and the types of skills that future employers would be looking for.emma ross 1

All the students found the talk incredibly useful and have used it to gauge and reflect on the key skills required in elite sport and the development they might require in order to gain the appropriate abilities and experience that the industry requires.

Prior to her role at the EIS Dr Ross was Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology at the University of Brighton where she still supervises PhD students.

We look forward to welcoming Emma back for more inspirational talks in the future.
