Student Wins National Award
School of Sport and Service Management graduate Aaron Greenhouse-Tucknott has won the prestigious British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) Undergraduate Dissertation of the Year Award.
Aaron completed his Sport and Exercise Science BSc(Hons) degree with us in July this year with the highest achievement for both his dissertation project and overall mark.
His dissertation project was entitled The Effect of Cadence on the Development of Neuromuscular Fatigue Following Prolonged, Sub-maximal Cycling: The Role of Internal Work and has entered him into the BASES Annual Awards Hall of Fame.
Aaron chose to test cyclists and triathletes with a very sophisticated methodology supported by an enthusiastic team of laboratory technicians, teaching instructors, research students, and academics.
Dr Jeanne Dekerle who supervised Aaron said: “His findings were both intriguing and interesting. He was a delight to work with.”
Aaron is currently writing up two research papers from this project and we wish him every success.
