Retail students head to London

Final year Retail Marketing and Management BA(Hons) students spent a day in London as part of the Contemporary Retail Trends module.

The field trip first took them to the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) where they visited The Indiscipline of Fashion exhibition.

They also attended two lectures on Luxury Brand Management and Contemporary Retail Trends given by their programme leaders.

After the LCCA visit the students, accompanied by their lecturers, took a walk into the West End and Soho.

During the walk they were able to spot the contemporary retail trends of the chic designers and identify the different concepts used in their window displays.

Course leader Hasan Gilani said of the field trip: “It was a fun as well as an interactive educational trip for the students and they all enjoyed the distractions right before the approaching coursework deadlines.”
