Postgraduate students enjoy a 5-star tea party
School of Sport and Service Management postgraduate students were invited to afternoon tea in the Culinary Arts Studio to celebrate the end of the taught element of their courses.
Students from each postgraduate course attended and enjoyed an impressive spread as well as provide the opportunity to socialise with course leaders Dr Clare Weeden, Dr Jeanne Dekerle, Jayne Luscombe and couse tutor Dr Catherine Palmer. Head of School, Professor Jonathan Doust, also attended the event to address the masters students and wish them the very best for a bright future.
The event was organised by course leader for the International Hospitality Management MSc, Ken Woodward. Ken and his team produced an exceptional array of delights worthy of any 5-star hotel.
Postgraduate programme leader, Dr Ioannis S Pantelidis said: “What a wonderful event to mark the nearing of the end of the academic year; the tea party was enjoyed by all our postgraduate students and our wonderful course leaders. After a hard years work it is always great to see the results of the synergy between the postgraduate teaching and learning team and the students.
Although the taught elements are finished our postgraduate students will still be working with their supervisors on their dissertations so it is not a complete goodbye just yet!”
