Success for Hospitality Consultants who are ready to fly!
The Hospitality Consultancy module provided final year International Hospitality Management students with an opportunity to work on briefs for two very unique clients.
Students were delighted to work with Monscierge, an international software company specialising in innovative hospitality solutions, and The Clink Charity, who work to reduce re-offending rates of ex-offenders by training and placing graduates upon their release into the hospitality industry.
Students were given briefs by both clients and asked to focus on competitor, trend analysis and branding. Results were to be presented to the clients in the form of video reports.
Chris Moore, Chief Executive of The Clink Charity, said of the final reports: “I enjoyed watching the videos and the findings and recommendations made by the students will come in very useful with our future strategy.”
Liam Walsh Key Accounts Manager with Monscierge said “Really impressed with the videos; one in particular was one of the best pieces of work I’ve seen since working in this industry. These students not only know what matters but have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the industry. They would be a credit to any hotel organisation or company providing these sorts of services to the hospitality industry”
Dr Ioannis S Pantelidis the module leader said: “We are truly grateful to both Chris and Liam for giving their time and access to their facilities, and for providing our students with the opportunity to work as real life consultants on meaningful projects. That they also found the student video reports worthwhile for their business makes us very proud.
I’d also like to thank Monscierge for their sponsorship of a £350 award to be given to the best overall student for the Hospitality Consultancy module.”
