Hospitality placement news
Abi Reid (right) and Natasha Wellstead (left) are all smiles in light of their placement news.
Abi has been offered a year’s placement with Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant ‘Dinner’ at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Hyde Park .
The menu at Dinner is spectacular and features many historical dishes such as ‘meat fruit’ and ice cream made at the customers table with the special nitrous oxide ice cream trolleys!
Abi said: “I’m very much looking forward to the experience and developing my knowledge within this unique environment. It is going to be an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the most influential people in the industry.”
Natasha has taken advantage of our many overseas placement opportunities and is heading to Sea Pines Resort in South Carolina where she will be working within the Inn at Harbour Town.
Natasha said: “I’m particularly looking forward to meeting people from many countries and gaining greater knowledge of the American service culture as well as enjoying some South Carolina sunshine.”
The School of Sport and Service Management has a long standing relationship with Sea Pines and many other overseas organisations where students can gain a wide range of cultural experiences.
