Hospitality Guest Speakers
Guest speakers are just one of the ways we help bring our courses to life and we invite a huge variation of influential figures to the school to talk to our students. Here are a few of the recent speakers who visited our hospitality students:
James Ullman James is Retail Audit Manager at J.D.Wetherspoon and regularly gives guest lectures to hospitality students. This year’s session was tailored to the Business Resourcing and Managing Performance within Hospitality module.
Paul Clement Paul is managing director of Anise Catering. He enthralled students with a presentation on his career in hospitality including his experiences in managing the catering and hospitality for events such as the Formula One racing team, The Six Nations Rugby, Buckingham Palace Garden parties and the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Myles Cunliffe Students were treated to a cocktail flaring demonstration from Myles Cunliffe and his team from The Mixology group in Brighton and were able to test their skills in the art of molecular cocktail making, shaking, flaring and eventually tasting their creations!
Dave Berry Dave is Duty Manager in the Accommodation and Hospitality Services department at Varley Park one of the University of Brighton’s halls of residence. His site includes over 350 student residences, restaurant, cafe bar, fitness suite and meeting rooms.
