Field trip to Manchester United FC
Sports coaching students recently took a field trip to Manchester United Football Club.
The students were given a guided tour of Old Trafford including the changing rooms as you can see from the image below. They were also able to watch the first team training at the £60 million Aon Training Complex at Carrington.
Students were also able to see Manchester United’s Football in the Community programme in action with a visit to one of the projects.
John Lambert, Course Leader, said: “The Sports Coaching and Development year 3 cohort where very privileged to gain access to the Carrington training complex and gain an insight into the elite coaching methods at such a prestigious club. It was equally important for the students to understand that football clubs have a range of community engagement projects that are delivered by a large number of professionals and that this is an area of employment opportunity.”
