School of Sport and Service Management lecturer leads England’s Triathletes at Glasgow 2014

Glenn Cook, part of the sports coaching staff at the School of Sport and Service Management, has been appointed as the England Triathlon Team Head Coach at the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow.

This will be Glenn’s third Commonwealth Games following on from his work in this role at the Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006 games. Glenn was also Great Britain Olympic Womens Triathlon Team Head Coach at London 2012.

The photograph shows Glenn providing the Brownlee brothers (the eventual gold and bronze medal winners) with time updates during the Olympic Triathlon.

Glenn is also the founder and head coach of the Body Works XTC triathlon club based at the Eastbourne campus which has a thriving membership of male and female athletes aged from 8 to 58 including a strong active student body from the University.
