Contextualizing The thought on Graffiti for the Exhibitions.

I started to look into how street art started  Beginning with  its primal  carvings and  symbols placed upon walls/caves to Egyptian times using symbols and stories to tell history, stories, gods, war, mythology marking a prominent message in there cultural and artist relevance.  To the grimy Beginnings of the underground streets art scene of New York early 90,s,  the likes of Keith haring, jean michel basquiat and  Shepard fairy.

At the time viewed as vandalism and anti conformity messaging. It all comes from the same want,  to rip open a path of truth on the walls we live around.  It’s a gift showing its relevance and own space at that time and now.

A use of a Vastly different architectures whether on   buildings, cities, pyramids, caves, post boxes, trains. it’s a sign of life and creativity. Showing the very beginning of us creating art.

As i researched a very insightful list/ book from Karen Owens. Cave paintings to the Egyptians times:

through viewing the art of the past. I started to form why street art and wall paintings have such concentration and persistence through history.  showing we were here.  it is within us as a people. we don’t know anything different then to sign our walls to show our relevance as human beings.

As i gather more insight I want to include an historical element to my online placement project within the  design of the final piece.
