Nick Turpin’s ‘Winter Bus’ series focuses on the reality of travelling and commuting in London during the cold winter months. This series is inspiring because it fits with my social isolation part of my project. These photographs show the real life of commuters which isn’t always easy, especially on winter nights. I like his use of lighting and the eeriness it creates. I will try and use his techniques in my work to create the same kind of emotion.
