Classroom Quizzes (1) Kahoot

“Great Learning starts by Asking Great Questions” says Kahoot

Kahoot is one of my favourite tools to provide an interactive way of introducing a topic. It is a free, online quiz creation and delivery tool.

Typically, I structured my content as a quiz, putting the audience into pairs. I typically find that between two people there will be one tablet or smartphone, and any online device can take part in the quiz.

Players register using the code provided by Kahoot (no download required) and then choose a team nickname and you are off.

A small prize (say a £1 bad of marshmallows) seems enough incentive to get the competition going!

At the end of the quiz there is a built in feedback screen helping the audience realise they learned something and giving you some valuable feedback on the activity.

If you just want an ice-breaker or to try Kahoot out, search the public Kahoots for existing quizzes to get you started, either duplicate and edit or just play as is.
