Minimalism

I have always been interested in minimalism and when I got a subcultures brief I thought this would suit perfectly. I started to look at designers such as Gareth Pugh to see similar themes and what people look for when they are a minimalist. I wanted to look into what minimalists would wear and I found that clean white garments with geometric or asymmetric shapes where the main feature of this trend. whilst collaging I found a theme kept arising, this was the classic white shirt. To me a white shirt is a staple for minimalism and is so classic that it has never been lost throughout fashion. This piece is timeless and this is why I decided to look particularly at this one piece of fashion.
