Congratulations to Louise Waite, Ex FACP student, (2017) who has been working at Skånes Konstförening (Skåne’s Art Association) in Malmö and will take up the role of deputy director of the organisation as of October 2018.
Skånes konstförening is based in the neighbourhood Södra Sofielund – popularly known as ”Seved” in Malmö. The institution shows Nordic and international contemporary art, and was founded in 1904 by members of Skånska Konstnärslaget. Today, Skånes Konstförening plays an active role in the region’s art scene.
Louise Waite has an interest in self-organising within the arts, community-based practices and affective labour evident in her previous work with organisations such as Mobile Art Production, The Non Existent Center and Skogen. Since graduation she has had a solo show at Röstånga Konsthall as well as being on a three month residency at Helsinki International Artist Programme.
