Andy Ward, Industrial Advisory Board memberBoard member – Andy Ward

Andy is currently a Chief Engineer at Ceres. He is responsible for developing the next generation of solid oxide fuel cells that produce, with no combustion, an electric current from a chemical reaction utilising a range of possible fuels, including hydrogen.

He graduated from Loughborough University in 1994 with a first class honours degree in Engineering Science and Technology. He then joined Ricardo, a global engineering consultancy located on the south coast of England where he remained for over 25 years, enjoying many challenges throughout that time. He spent 10 years working in powertrain noise and vibration with a passion for developing quieter engines and transmissions before moving to a customer facing role as a Chief Engineer in the Engines Product Group. Following that, he joined the R&D group at Ricardo leading a portfolio of R&D on electrified and conventional technologies for clean, safe and low cost transportation.
