Kellie Duggan Senior Learning Experience Designer, Innovation Skills, Nesta

During her four years at Nesta, Kelly has helped build Nesta’s learning offer around developing public and third sector innovation capabilities globally. Through researching cutting edge innovation practice, her role is to codify complex or tacit knowledge into models, frameworks and activities, which can be translated into the design and delivery of learning experiences and materials.

Prior to Nesta, Kelly was at the University of Brighton completing her Ph.D. entitled ‘Envisioning the Future Village’. Using a Research Through Design approach, her thesis explored the role of digital technologies in facilitating the collaborative creation of ‘shared visions’ for shaping the future development of communities. Her work often focuses on design thinking, systems thinking, design theory, and co-design tools and methods. Kelly also holds an MA in Sustainable Design from the University of Brighton and a BA in Interior Design from Leeds Metropolitan University.
