The place that I stayed at in Mauritius had palm trees all around and this is one of the pictures I took when I was there. I wanted to create some more lino prints after having fun playing around with the process previously. I decided to create a lino print of the palm trees as I feel that they are one of the main parts of the nature there. I printed this block many times, with different inks and colours of paper to create as many outcomes as possible. One of my favourites is the pink ink on the yellow paper. I think that the colours really compliment each other and it creates a bold print. I also really like the gradient prints, using blue and pink inks. I might experiment with mixed media with these prints by adding in more details with other materials, to create a new outcome.
