I am interested with working with texture in my self directed project so I decided to experiment with some different processes. I saw a video of someone mixing baking powder with paint to create a grainy texture and thought this would be an interesting process to work with. I mixed the red and blue paint with salt to create a thicker, more chunky consistency and the white and green paint with baking powder. Both of these processes worked well and I would like to explore them more in my work. I think the baking powder would work well with buildings as it gives a similar texture as stone. The sugar mixture gives a more sandy-like texture.
