Today I narrowed down the narrative of my graphic novel. I created some mind-maps to generate and consider different ideas. My first ideas consisted of a crime/thriller story, as this is one of my favourite genres to read, a collection of my personal experiences from the past year and a travel story. I then decided that I liked the idea of a story centred around travel the most, so then I created a second mind-map focusing on that. I came up with an idea of a character who is bored with their current life and gets an opportunity to take a trip on a train which travels you around the world. I think I will take the character to some countries that I have been to and focus it around my personal experiences, as well as countries that I have never been to but would like to go to.

Following on from this, I made some small sketches of images that came to mind when thinking about this narrative. I also sketched some possible character designs.
