Starting to film the animation

Today I made a start on filming some of the scenes of my animation. I set up my phone on a tripod so that I could get a clean shot for the stop motion and I turned off all the lights except for the lamp that I am using to light the set. I angled the lamp so that the light was coming from above to give the effect of moonlight. I also angled the camera so that it was the same height as the set because I want the audience to feel as though they are part of the animation. These are some stills from the scenes I filmed. I really like the atmosphere of them, I think it fits well with the story and the genre. Throughout some of the scenes I made the lamp brighter and then dimmer again to replicate lightning strikes which I think was quite effective. In the first image, I placed the light behind the model of the house to give the effect that there were lights on in the house, which I think looks effective.
