I looked in some card shops today for ideas involving layout and design. I looked at designs with the greeting on the front cover of the card, some with it on the inside and some which had both. I am thinking that I will definitely write the greeting on the front of the card as it helps to show the purpose of the card. I think that I will leave the inside of the card blank, because personally I always like to be able to write what I want on the inside of a card. At the start of the project I made some rough sketches of the layout I wanted to use, which I will follow. I’m thinking that the bird and rain cards will be landscape and the flowers and house cards will be portrait. This is to ensure that the designs fit well onto the card.

I also started thinking about what font I want the greetings to be written in. I am leaning more towards a slightly cursive font and I think the text will be black as I want the main colours to come from the images themselves.
